About Me.
I have been teaching ENL history for the past seven years, creating materials that have helped thousands of teachers around the United States with their newcomer English Language Learners. I strive to foster comprehensible input through visuals and dual language instruction, make learning more accessible, and enhance dialogue for entering, emerging, transitioning and expanding ENL students in history classrooms.
English Language Learners deserve a culturally responsive, supportive, and welcoming classroom environment. Each of us has the power to welcome, nurture, and support our students. I know how nervous I felt when I started teaching ENL History for the first time. My students feel the same way when they arrive to this beautiful country, ready to learn and call this country their own. I know the language barrier can be difficult to overcome, which is why I sought to create materials that would help teachers and students alike - fostering the ideal interactions for read alouds, document analysis, communication skills, and enhancing English proficiencies. Through these materials, I've been able to help teach my students both history and English, while mis maestros have taught me so much Spanish along the way. EDUCATION

"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."
